Real Lyric
Real Lyric is a series of black and white portraits positing the integral role people we encounter play in our own self-reflection. It is, therefore, easily about identity as fleeting, ever-present, and, yet, qualified by the closeness of people as affect to such an establishment. It employs the presupposition of the mirror as metaphor for said reevaluation or self-reflection. The fact that the various subjects hold this reflection is the phenomenological vault for implications concerning the exchange of power and origin of not only the artist’s sense of self or inspiration but, too, the mental process of concept and community as it relates to the compulsion to be inspired or to inspire one’s and all paradigms.
